Professional Experience:

Ms. Moran is an experienced, Professionally Licensed Senior Railroad/Transit Signal Engineer with more than twenty four years of rail signaling experience.  Ms. Moran started her career as a Signal Engineer for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) where she gained diversified experience and knowledge in signaling, including incident investigation, maintenance, troubleshooting, installation, and commissioning new and modified systems. In an effort to expand her experience she left the MBTA in 1994 and went to work in the railroad/transit consulting industry.   She established her own firm, Rachel Moran Engineering Incorporated also known as RM Engineering in 2006.

Professional Experience: 

Mr. Swirbalus has over 28 years of experience in rapid transit and light rail signaling, communications, as well as general electrical engineering. After receiving his degree in Electrical Engineering, he started his career in signaling at the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) where he developed an extensive knowledge of transit signal system functions and requirements in an operating environment. His experience includes the design, installation, testing, placing into service of various subsystems that define functioning transit signal and supervisory control systems. He also had a major role in providing engineering support to the signal maintenance forces. In 2010, Mr. Swirbalus left the MBTA and joined RM Engineering to expand his experience in project management and design.
